Hetalia Day here happened around 2 weeks ago, and I'm still feeling the high from it XD
I went as default Hong Kong with my England as planned. It was really fun to be with her again as we haven't cosplayed Hong Kong and England together for a long time. I wore my new Hong Kong costume for the event, and like with Cosplay Mania '12 I didn't get decent photos either. The few photos I found with us in them were mostly stolen shots (I was wearing my glasses in most of them too, OTL).
I was late for my fourth Hetalia Day in a row as my make-up melted off right as I was about to leave and had to redo it (strangely it didn't melt off after the event nor when I stepped outside). Upon arrival, I was glad to see I didn't miss too much. I met with my Iggy and we changed to our respective cosplays. Hanging out with old and new friends made me be glad to have attended Hetalia Day. We had a great indoor venue this year, I was very happy with the airconditioning, tables and chairs. It was really packed by the afternoon as more cosplayers, guardians and curious people came by. Not much food for potluck this year so everyone bought take-out from the nearby McDonald's, to one Alfred's joy. The cafe we had was a great idea, as we had some merienda consisting of pastries and hot drinks in the afternoon. Among the games we had, I couldn't help but miss the old "Hetalia Henyo" from previous years. Random dancing, karaoke, impromptu skits (and some other things I might have missed) happened as usual and Hetalia Day ended happily without any incidents.
I've been trying to plan out a UKHK photoshoot for a while now and I hope it happens soon~
